Awards season officially kicked off on Sunday with the 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards.

"The Brutalist" took the clear lead in the film, and took home a handful of the ceremony's awards. Brady Corbett won Best Director for the film, Adrien Brody won Best Actor for his performance, and Best Drama for "The Brutalist."

The night's most-nominated film, "Emilia Perez," with 10 nods, took home four Golden Globes, including best foreign-language picture, best musical or comedy and best original song.

In television, "Shōgun" took home all four awards for which it was nominated. It was an unusually dry night for "The Bear," which received five nominations but took home just one award — for series lead Jeremy Allenwhite, who played him on the show. The performance marked the actor's third consecutive Golden Globe.

"Murder Only in the Building," which had four nominations, took home nothing. The series has now received a total of 16 Golden Globe nominations, but has failed to win a single Golden Globe.
